Terri Koskela, age 57, of Big Traverse passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2016 with family by her side.
Terri was born to Jerome and Darlene (Schmidlin) Hiltunen on June 30, 1959 in Royal Oak, Michigan.
She attended Royal Oak Schools graduating with the class of 1977.
On September 10, 1983 she was united in marriage to Ray Koskela in Laurium.
Terri was a very caring, loving, hardworking and generous person. When her uncle fell ill and needed a kidney she donated one of her own. Family was very important to her, and she enjoyed getting together with them frequently on the weekends. She also loved to take walks, often with her walking partner Mary. Terri was always putting smiles on people’s faces, whether she was making people laugh at her or with her it didn’t matter.
Terri was preceded in death by her mother, and father-in-law Albert Koskela.

Daughter: Kristi Koskela of Calumet
Grandchild: Caleb Koskela
Brother: Michael (Marianne) Hiltunen of Kewaskum, WI
Sisters: Beth (Leo) Farmer of Calumet
Susan Grant of Laurium
Close friends: Jayne and John Nestell
And numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins.
